Just closed on a purchase the loan office was really helpful and i was extremly satisfied very quick turnaround.
My house was partially destroyed by
Storm Sandy and Mid-Island was so helpful working with me during this difficult time.
I have been a Mid-Island customer for 12 years and am fortunate to have a bank on my side.
Good customer service that has kept my account with Mid-Island. Rates are the same almost everywhere. It is the service and the people that make the difference. Mid-Island has some of the most professional, courteous and helpful people. I need to say they are also friendly. I have dealt with Stephanie twice and she just gets better and better
The worst mortgage company to deal with
regardless if your up to date or late on your payments. STAY AWAY FROM THIS RUTHLESS COMPANY!! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR.
ALL SMOKE N MIRRORS!
Very Personal and great services, can't ask for more. Great company with friendly and professional staff ready to help you with what ever problems you have. I am very lucky to have them for my home loan.
Excellent Mortgage Company.
Jen Williams made the whole process so uncomplicated. She met me to sign the GFE and disclosures and was very thorough. Her and her manager Teresa Balian went above and beyond their job descriptions. My scores were low in the beginning. I took her advice, my fico scores increased and I was approved for the loan. There was a lot of paper work involved and she told me what I should have expected before I started the process with her. They were very fast and responsive. I had title issues and I still closed 2 weeks after the appraisal was completed!!! I highly reccommend her becasue she drove all the way to Southborough twice to get my documents when my fax and scanner broke.

Highly Recommend. Jim Esposito was great to work with - highly recommend him!
I do not recommend. I started out with Mid-Island Mortgage because the representatie seemed knowledgeable and honest. I have an email stating the rep locked in my rate at 4%. After giving them the appraisal fee and getting the appraisal done, I was told everything was fine, the value was $500,000 and we were waiting to close. Communication shut down. Turns out the rep did not lock me in and they were waiting for the rates to come down. Each day I would call between 5 and 10 times, leave messages and emails. No response. After almost 2 months I filed a claim with the BBB. I then finally received a response three months. I had since gone with another company and no longer trust this company to service my loan. I also have asked several times in emails and phone messages to either send me the appraisal I paid for or refund the $375. I receive no reponse which does not surprise me,
Overcharged undiscloses fees at closing.
On August 3rd, I applied for a 15 year mortgage refinance from Chase to Mid-Island Mortgage for 141,000 at 3.875 percent. The sales agent was Mark Miceli, the processor was Lori Moltisanti, and the closing agent was Andrea Madison. The closing was on October 26, in which a promised $690 interest rate credit was not given and an additional undisclosed fee of $475 was added.
Monetary Losses
Throughout August, interest rates fell. On August 24 at 2:25pm, I called Mark Miceli and asked him to lock the interest rate at a lower rate. Mark explained that I could keep the rate at 3.875 percent and receive a credit for $690. He said that I should confirm this by sending him an email, which I did at 2:53pm.
On October 20th, Mark informed me that he never locked the rate as I had requested, would not honor our agreement, and claimed that interest rates had risen so that only $150 credit could be given. I forwarded the email to him, however he ignored it and would not respond to my request. The 15-year rate fell from 3.44 on August 26 to 3.26 on October 7th, so I found his claim that rates had risen questionable. Mid-Island Mortgage did not issue ANY interest rate credit at the closing.
The GFE had an application fee of $545, and $2,200.64 in additional fees. Without any disclosure Mid-Island Mortgage added an additional "document fee" of $475 to a legal firm hired by Chase known as Reis Cooper LLP. This non-disclosed fee added to line 105 on the HUD-1 is an additional 17% of the total GFE fees. Furthermore, the mortgage with Chase doesn't disclose a prepayment penalty.
Lastly, the title insurance was $400 in the GFE and $462.72 at the closing.
Total Losses that Should Be Reimbursed: $1,227.72
Other Complaints
Mark Miceli and Lori Moltisanti were misleading, evasive and overall unprofessional.
My wife and I have more than 100 emails and made about as many phone calls with Mark Miceli and Lori Moltisanti asking for status updates because they rarely answered the phone or replied to messages. I had also specifically requested in numerous emails and phone conversations that the mortgage be processed and approved prior to having an appraisal on the property completed. Despite this guarantee by Mid-Island Mortgage, Lori Moltisanti continued to ask me for more information for their underwriting team to approve the loan even though she had said that it was already approved before. While I responded to all of their information request immediately, their tactics dragged the process on for nearly 3 months. I asked them numerous times via email and over the phone to resolve these issues, however they refused.
Your service was exceptional. It is second to none. Peter DiCroce and Michelle Sarling did an exceptional job in helping me to get all that I need to do my loan in a short time. I felt respected and valued throughout the entire process. Keep up the good job!! They are truly assets to your company
