If you like really GREAT fish and Seafood, it just don't get.
If you like really GREAT fish and Seafood, it just don't get and better than here, the place can use a face lift, but the food here is wonderful.
I am surprised by the popularity of this restaurant. It is absolutely NOT authentic Greek (I live in Astoria and I have traveled to several places in Greece). They are trying way too hard. The Sangria is watered down; they should really think about making it FRESH or at least keeping it referigerated without all the ice in it. And come on, if you're spending $13 - $15 on a drink it should at least be a decent drink. The food was mediocre at best. My appetizer of the stuffed grilled calamari was good, but the entrees were absolutely average; they should worry more about taste than trying to be "gourmet" and "euro." I was so upset that I wasted one of my vacation dinners out to come here. I'd skip it.
Best Greek in Suffolk County.
We decided this year to eat out for Thanksgiving and although we were the ONLY ones in the restaurant and it was pouring outside, they treated us like royalty. The dishes were AS CLOSE to authentic food found in Greece, more so than any other place I've visited in a suburban area (other than places like Astoria). There was a wide selection of fresh fish and appetizers to choose from and you could have enjoyed a nice meal without even ordering any of the main courses. Portions were healthy and more than you would expect from a place like this.
And although it was slightly pricy, I would have paid double what we paid for the food we ate. My parents, who are extremely picky, loved it as well. It's a chic place with a lot of light colored wood and white furniture true to the style found in the Hamptons. Our only regret was not going when it was busier to feel more of the energy that this restaurant can create. Looking forward to summers in the Hamptons to enjoy it in a warmer setting and experience the bar scene. Can't wait to try out the sister restaurant in Manhattan. Happy Eating!
