Best Mexican in Brookhaven!!!. Tonight my husband and I got take-out from Mesquite once again--we eat hear at least once every week or two...we LOVE this place!!! He heard about it from a friend at work, and we were so happy to find such a great Mexican joint since we weren't too crazy about Green Cactus and were getting burned on Salsa Salsa (good but always packed and more expensive). Mesquite has reasonable prices, but more importantly the food is AMAZING. They don't stick to just the standards, they've always got something new and interesting to try on the blackboard menu (and these specials truly stand out). I always get the fish tacos when they have them b/c they are the best around, and my husband loves their chimichangas. Tonight though he got a skirt steak taco that had red pepper, baby spinach, and goat cheese, and a pulled pork soft taco with granny smith apples and coleslaw. His verdict: they were both unbelievable! So basically if you are looking for fantastic mexican food with a gourmet twist, this is it. Enjoy!!!
