Fantastic Japanese dishes and warm friendly service. SHOGI is my favorite Japanese restaurant in all my travels, and I have had at least 20 different dining experiences over the tri-state area and none compare to the quality, taste, presentation, or atmosphere of SHOGI... The owner Yuko and her husband are loud but fun and make you feel like family from the minuet you walk in the door. They offer most traditional Japanese dishes and of course fresh sushi. as well as the best hot sake or cool plum wine you have ever tasted. Its worth the ride and your time. I personally suggest the beef negima or the sukiyaki as a first try dish.

fresh delicious food. Shogi is a casual and traditional Japanese restaurant. The owner is incredibly welcoming and friendly. She has customers' baby pictures on the wall! Most importantly the food is delicious. We ordered chicken scewers, sashimi, and rolls. All tasted fresh & delicious. Was disappointed at 1st b/c there was not a large roll selection, however I noticed a roll menu after I had already ordered. Will return!

BEST SUSHI EVER!. I've been coming to Shogi for years and love the food there - Yuko, the owner, is so friendly and loving. You'll want to come back just to see her! THIS PLACE IS AMAZING - Try the crazy ninja, one of their delicacies.
