Gennaro's is a Must!. They do a lot of work for fireman and policemen. My friends tell me that they have an incredible reputation for honestly. I highly recommend Gennaro Jewelers!!

Best Jewelry Store. Love the place! My family has been going there for more than 40 years. I got my ears pierced there as a child and last year my daughter did as well. They are knowledgeable, honest and friendly; that is why they are so popular.

Great Service. I brought my diamond there because a friend told me that they don't take it out of your sight. The place is unbelievable. Everything is done in front of you, my diamond never left my sight and they explained everything as they repaired my engagement ring.

The Best. The employees are really knowledgeable and really friendly. The place is very busy and sometimes you have to wait a few minutes, but it is definitely worth it. Some of the other customers I talked to said they have been there many times and keep coming back because Gennaro's is honest.

Great Service & Great Quality!. This past weekend I went to the Bellmore, NY Street Fair and had the pleasure of receiving a free jewelry cleaning from Gennaro Jewelers. They had their store open to all Fair-goers and not only cleaned my engagement ring and wedding band but also inspected them closely and showed me up on a big screen that I had some loose prongs and I was completely missing a prong. They let me know that I may want to have it repaired to avoid losing my stones. I had my ring cleaned at the mall recently and no one showed me anything or took any time examining my ring. They went the extra mile and because they did, they have earned my business! I was offered what I thought was a very reasonable repair price and they did the repair in front of me on the spot! Great service! Fast and thorough! I absolutely recommend this company!

way over reacting. As a jeweler myself i know that stones such as sapphires can be damaged from just wearing them. it is a common practice overseas to fill flaws with resins and oils that can not be detected with out special equipment. they often have flaws called "naturals" that can break the surface. heat damage would not be able to be polished out it would appear as a deep "flake under the surface and would reflect rainbow light. I think the person at the counter misspoke saying your stone would be buffed" it is actually "re-polished" by expert cutters and the weight loss is usually only a couple of points ( a point is 1/500th of a gram, a dollar bill weighs 1 gram so cut your dollar into 500 pieces and weigh 2 of them and that's what you probably "lost "

what you also lost was the wear and tear on a sapphire that has been worn. the stone returns to its original value after a polishing there is virtually no market for worn sapphires. investment grade stones are never put in rings. Gennaro's has an excellent no nonsense reputation in my industry and are known for good work . it is also a practice among less reputable places to agree with the customer that had a problem and "Knock" the competition half the time the "expert" behind the counter is a kid on minimum wage or commission. If the jeweler was not working close to the stone there would be more danger taking out and resetting the stone . when ever i have had the opportunity over the years to visit Gennaro's i see a store full of people behind his counters i have known in the trade for years. You would not be allowed to work there if you did not know your stuff. I would send my mother there if she had a problem. you could not find a staff more careful and competent .

They make fine jewelry repairs while you watch!. Genero's has been in business for about 60 years. Great reputation with mostly repeat business. Check out the rest of the village after shopping in Genero's.
