Excellent experience at this hospital. They treated my dog when he had a bad accident at 2am a few years ago when I just moved to the area. I couldn't think of going anywhere else now. They are very pleasant and willing to accommodate to me whenever necessary.

Dr. Jared is wonderful. I love how caring and compassionate he is with my dog Clancy. He is extremely patient and thorough. We have been going to West Hills for many years and it always continues to impress us.

Excellent hospital, wouldn't take my dog anywhere else. Also nice that I can board my pet at a hospital when I go away just in case anything happens I know he is in good hands.

Great staff. After moving to Long Island 8 years ago I needed to find a vet for my babies. A friend recommended I go to West Hills and immediately I understood why she spoke so highly of the place. The staff was courteous and attentive; the doctor was knowledgeable and had a way of explaining medical terms in a way I understood. I

Amazing service/Great staff!!. I have been bringing my dog to West Hills animal hospital for 13 long and strong years, and I can never even imagine going to a different veterinarian. My main reason is that I really love all of the staff! I brought my dog in today for a checkup and everyone knew him by name and came over to say hi. They are all such caring people and really know how to treat the animals, as well as the clients, from the moment they step in the door and even until after they have already left the building (they helped me carry the heavy bag of dog food to the car without me even asking!). My dog means the world to me, and the fact that they treat him so well is always so comforting!!

Thank you West Hills Animal Hospital. I have been going to West Hills Animal Hospital for the past 10 years with my animals. I am really surprised to read the reviews below regarding the hospital. Myself and all of my friends bring our pets to West Hills and we have nothing but wonderful things to say about it. Anytime you need them they are always there for your pet. I am always able to speak to a veterinarian there, unlike my medical doctor, and they are very pleasant. When my Shih Tzu got sick in the middle of the night I was met at the hospital by a doctor and they were able to perform all the diagnostics they needed right then. And for the service they provide, the price is very reasonable. I have checked with other hospitals who charge the same amount or more and want to leave my pet unsupervised overnight. Not a chance. Thank you West Hills!

Horrible Experience with Dr. Jack Heller. - watch your bill

- get everything, including diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment plan, in writing.

- get a second opinion, if possible.

- do your homework. Research the ailment and diagnosis to get a better picture of the issue.

A Total Scam. I was appauled by the service I recieved and all the rude staff. My dog was prescribed to a medication and put on a "special food" for a week for his stomach, when I got a second opinion at my vet in nyc he could not believe this vet gave me medication for a parasite which my dog clearly did not have due to ALL the testing they did on him. Either they are clueless or have a car payment to make. No one minds spending money on their dogs at the vet but when you go in for something that should have cost 200 and leave spending 600 just for tests and medication, that is ubserd. It is horrible that people are scammed by this place. Just because it is clean and certified does not mean anything. There are better places to go in long island. They are also associated with puppy stores so obviously they have no morals supporting puppy mills.

25 Yr Client, but know your Doctor. West Hills is my vet. It is the cleanest office I've been to. We went to a specialist office and he came home from fleas.

I currently own a lab who gets into everything. I've called them at all hours and have gotten advise from the vets or techs.

There are three vets that have been there for several years, Coren, Heller and Reth, the others stay for about a year and move on. I only make my appointments with the three "permanent" vets.

The practice is very big, state of the art equipment and great techs. There are 2 techs on every night and a doctor on call every night. There is a secondary, smaller office in Commack, NY.
