My bad experience with them. My three stars I feel is generous to the way I feel about them. I gave it only because my dog received health care that was adequate while he was a patient of there's for nearly 16 years. I also gave it to them for being available at all hours of the night for emergency service. One time they really helped me by being able to see my dog late at night .

However with that said, I no longer go there with my new puppy, I now go to MY Pets VET. There is two reasons.

I found them over priced and doing many tests on my dog which I wonder were necessary. . The second reason happened 2 years ago the day I put my dear dog to sleep. It is still a hard thing for me to write about. I knew it was time for my dog to go , he had many aliments and was no longer himself .This was the hardest decision I have ever made in my life, one which I put off for many months before I knew I could no longer care for him and I knew I was doing what was best so he would not have to suffer . So I called the animal hospital spoke to one of there VETS about it and they agreed. The VET on the phone was very kind and assured me it would be done in the most humane way. I then made an appointment and asked the receptionist that the day I come in can I please be seen right away . My dog would be nervous so I didn't want to sit and wait. , I wanted this to be as peaceful as possible. They assured me I'd be taken in right away and I could be there with my dog as I wanted . Instead what happened was I sat in the waiting room with everyone else. I must have sat there for 15 - 20 min while my poor dog was shaking and I I got emotional and started crying. Finally they brought me in and this Vet had no idea why I was there and hadn't been told I came in to have my dog put to sleep. He then asked me if I was sure this is what I wanted. It was a nightmare. This should not have happened, . I don't know whose fault it was but someone screwed up.

be careful about who is your Dr here -Always be an advocate for your animal. I used the Rodent specialist here for my gerbil and was very happy with his diagnosis and treatment. When he died the Vet called me and sent a sympathy card which I still keep. For this reason I had no reason to believe that any other Dr wasn?t as competent. I was wrong. We bought a puppy from Shake a Paw in Hicksville. I am against puppy store but I fell in love and he was an expensive rescue. However I was told to treat anything for 90 days I should use West Hills. I figured since all puppy's get kennel cough and need some anti biotics I figured why not. My fiancee tool him to a female vet not sure of her name Dr Breffney , not sure.....anyway he was seen and given this AB that a human can?t touch because it can cause a severe anemia - GREAT!! We gave this to my puppy for about 4 days and his cough got worse- I called when the snot coming out of his nose was yellow and was told by the Dr that they just saw him the day before and his chest was dry. I insisted that his snot was yellow and was told in a patronizing voice, well if you really need to bring him in then fine and well do a chest x ray but you need to give him a little more time. I went one more day against my better judgment and happened to speak to my normal vet MY PETS VET DR BROOKE about my Boston Terrier that was being treated for something. The Dr said to me to get that puppy in today as his snot now turned green from his nose. We did that night to MY vet -they took an x ray -he was burning up with fever, and had double pneumonia and was being given three days to get him better or he will most likely die!!!

HOW DARE THIS VET PATRONIZE ME when I call with symptoms? She has no right to be practicing in any veterinarian hospital. 500.00 Later my baby was doing better. Many sleepless nights and alot of different antibiotics distributed throughout the night. He pulled through and his happy and healthy.

GO TO MY PETS VET.....right down the road and way more efficient. Your pets life depends on it!
