Best Fish Store on the Island. I've been going to Tropical Showcase since it was at its first location and let me tell you, everytime I go back they treat me with great respect and the very helpful. The tanks are clean, the fish look great, the staff is super knowledgeable, and they all so friendly. His prices are most certainly the best anywhere for what you are getting. All of his fish live when I buy them unlike the store that will sell them for 10 dollars cheaper but not give you any information, be helpful, or tell you that the fish was directly imported from the ocean and they got it in yesterday so who knows if it eats or has any parasites. To sum it up here, if you're into fish go to tropical showcase they are the nicest most educated staff around and if they dont have something they will be glad to get it for you.

Great selection, poor attitude. Went there for the first time and I have to say that their selection is probably the best I've seen on Long Island since Ed's in Lynbrook went out of business years ago. However that would be the only thing I would say is a plus about this place. The prices are high by at least 50% on the fish that I was looking at compared to other stores I've been to. And the person who was there, I believe the owner's wife, well all I can say is that if I hated my job that much, I'd jump off a building. Even though there were no other customers in the store, she couldn't stand still and talk to me for more than 5 seconds without walking away. I had to follow her all over the store to ask a few simple questions. She was anything but friendly and courteous and I felt that I was imposing on her by just being there. While the selection and amount of tanks was impressive, I won't be going back and I'll find another store with a nicer attitude to spend me money at.

Tropical Showcase ROCKS!. They are hardly an uneducated staff!

Tropical Showvcase has been around for generations now and has the best fish selection in all of Nassau County and probably THE best live plant selection on the entire Island.

Every time I'm there I'm tempted to start yet another tank

Sometimes the owner can be a little tempermental, but that has never kept me from going back.

Extremely Nasty Service!!!. People that work there are uneducated and they get very nasty when you ask questions. The worst customer service on LI.

OUTSTANDING selection of fish and aquatic plants. BEST ON LONG ISLAND!. We visit a lot of pet stores and aquariums and this is our favorite. Unbelievable selection and varieties. You have the best opportunity to see the most rare and newest fish available. The owner Gene is fantastic to deal with and Rose is very helpful, very hardworking and very sweet. Such healthy fish and aquatics are seldom found. GREAT STORE.
