We've had one great meal and one terrible meal at Robert's. The great meal was a wonderful, romantic experience. The terrible meal was just a nightmare...We were a group of 7, and they was something wrong with at least half the appetizers and entrees. And when we pointed out that the calamari were incredibly chewy, or that the pasta was glutinous and all stuck together, we were told "Sorry it's not to your liking," clearly placing the burden on us, rather than taking responsibility for poor quality food and/or preparation. And when we complained to the host, he only offered excuses (the calamari is "local" and therefore more chewy than normal...the pasta is "rustic" and therefore more sticky"...Not even the hint of an apology. We're going to give it one more try, but if it's a disappointment, that's the end of Robert's for us.
