Unprofessional Salon Manager

by MM1116 at Citysearch

The salon manager Monique Young is totally unprofessional and represents this salon in a negative way. Her misrepresentation of long standing customers and taking her personal issues to work with her will cause this salon a lot of lost business in the months to come. If your looking for a little drama with your next haircut this is the place to go!

Average Cuts, Exceptionally Bad Customer Service

by Dalai at Citysearch

If you're into being treated badly, go to ChristoperJon's Salon. The receptionists are, without exception, deplorable. Think of gum-snapping, repulsively rude and badly behaved children and you'll get the picture. Time and again I've called for an appointment only to be put on hold and forgotten. Once, when I called back to complain that I'd been left on hold for 15 minutes, the receptionist actually said 'so?' Other times I've found it impossible to get the hairdresser I want (apparently they serve the stay-at-home community because they have few evening hours and they're closed Sundays). Today I called for an appointment and I was told that my hairdressed was "completely booked" all week. The receptionist didn't ask for my name, she didn't offer to let me know if there were any cancellations and she didn't suggest that I try any other hairdressers. Instead, she said "Well?" and when I said quietly that I supposed I would go elsewhere, she said "suit yourself" and hung up.

I've spent $50 to $100 a month in that salon for the last two years and it finally struck me today that for all the rudeness and expense, the cuts I get there are just . . . okay. Mainly I've been going because the salon's close to my home. But today I decided I'd had quite enough and I booked an appointment in a salon in Sayville village. And from their website it looks like everyone there is an adult. And they answered their phone on the first ring. And they were polite. They haven't cut a hair on my head yet , but they're already leagues ahead of ChristopherJon's Salon.

amazingg salon!

by bri623 at Citysearch

This salon is excellent and treats their customers like family. Many of these women are highly skilled at what they do. You may have had a bad experience but if you asked for them to fix it, they glady would have free of charge. Hundreds of women come to Christopher Jon leaving with a feeling of confidence and a smile on their face, I know from going there. You definitley get your moneys worth and will be so happy you wentthat you'll never want to go back to your old salon. Not to mention the place is beautiful and professional and even has a spa! Come to Christopher Jon if you want to feel and look your best. They care for your hair like they care for their own.

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DON'T GO HERE

by danie1126 at Citysearch

I felt like when I called to book my first appointment I really should have been notified that there were various levels of mastery for the stylists. (Had I been made aware of this I would have requested to be cut and blown out by a stylist at a higher level.) I first had a single process color (which could not have been done too wrong because I was going back to my natural color of dark brown). After I was having a basic trim. The girl who blew out my hair had no clue what she was doing. My hair being extemely curly and frizzy needs to be blown out in a paticular way with a round brush very vigorously. Honestly I left looking worse than when I arrived. After leaving I went to a great salon in Brentwood and they did an awesome job blowing out my hair for $15! I have been going to salons all my life and for some reason the less expensive the salon is the better of a blowout I get. I thought that this place would do a good job, unfortunately I was mistaken. For the money that this salon charges there are probably 20 other salons that can do a much better job CHEAPER!! I would not recommend this salon to anyone.

  • Pros: They don't ask you to buy their products
  • Cons: Unskilled staff, expenisve, and ambience was awkward

hidden treasure

by lacigirl at Citysearch

I must say what a hidden treasure. When you step through the spa door you enter a relaxing haven. I was so delighted with the service and atmosphere. I felt like I was on vacation. All the girls were great and very accomodating. I got a robe and slippers and great food duing my stay. I will definitely ask for that gift again, in fact I will go on my own as often as I can. Thank You

  • Pros: tranquility room, robes slippers, service
